Atomic Candy

Atomic Candy is a lesson from eGFI (Engineering, Go For It!), that teaches students about radiometric dating. On eGFI’s website, this lesson is attributed to North Carolina State University’s partnership with The Science House. Radiometric dating is a critical concept that is necessary for student’s understanding of how old things like the Earth, the Earth’s moon, and other very old objects are.

Disclaimer: Some students have diabetes, or allergies to food or food coloring which may not make this lesson a good approach. Below is another lesson that does not use candy.

A follow up to Atomic Candy is Date a Rock.
