Extraordinary Exoplanet Transit Hunt

I share this in my eighth grade science class as we learn about the sun-Earth-moon system, as a learning extension. Kepler’s Exoplanet Transit Hunt is an interesting way for students to learn about how scientists find other planets orbiting around distant stars. Even if they do not understand the actual math that is used in determining whether the planet is habitable or not, they can recognize the importance of math in making this determination.

I could also see this being used in college Astronomy classes.
