Hangman is a fun game for students to practice spelling and parts of speech. I like that the gruesome aspect of hanging has been removed from this classic game. My daughter, who struggles with spelling, found this game to be really engaging. Students select letters of the alphabet that they think will be found in the mystery word. When a correct letter is used, it is revealed in its correct spot along the dashed lines, which indicate how many letters the word has. Incorrect letter guesses cause one of several pencils to break. When all pencils are broken the game is lost. If the word is guessed correctly, the game is won.
This game can be played on any device, but I believe it requires an updated version of Flash.
